A large real estate company conducted a recent study of their customers. The study was designed to uncover insights regarding the main criteria for choosing to invest in a residential property. A majority of the customers surveyed stated the 'returns profile' was their main priority, followed by 'development potential' and 'stability of income'. 'Portfolio legacy' ranked at the bottom in the list of factors. It was interesting to note that respondents were less likely to have residential holdings that formed part of mixed-use assets i.e. as an add on to commercial investment. One might assume that more investors are proactively investing in residential real estate rather than having incidental exposure via business investments.
Based on the given passage, what can we say about the following statement?

Business owners having commercial premises often have a residential property as part of their portfolio.

Big 5 traits: The Big Five traits, also known as the Five Factor Model, is a framework used to describe human personality. It consists of five dimensions: Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism. These traits are important to measure in this test as they can help recruiters assess an individual's suitability for a particular job role based on their personality characteristics.

Data Interpretation: Data interpretation is the ability to analyze and make sense of complex sets of data. This skill is essential in many job roles, especially those that involve dealing with large amounts of data or making data-driven decisions. Assessing data interpretation skills in this test can help recruiters identify candidates who are proficient in analyzing data and drawing meaningful insights.

Numerical Reasoning: Numerical reasoning involves the ability to understand and manipulate numbers, and to use mathematical concepts to solve problems. This skill is crucial in jobs that require quantitative analysis, financial modeling, or statistical analysis. Evaluating numerical reasoning skills in this test allows recruiters to gauge a candidate's ability to work with numbers effectively and accurately.

Grammar: Grammar refers to the rules and structures that govern a language. Strong grammar skills are important in written communication, as they ensure clarity, accuracy, and coherence. Including a grammar component in this test enables recruiters to assess a candidate's proficiency in using grammar correctly, which is crucial in roles that involve written communication, such as content writing or editing.

Vocabulary: Vocabulary relates to a person's knowledge and understanding of words and their meanings. Having a rich vocabulary is beneficial for effective communication and comprehension. Assessing vocabulary skills in this test allows recruiters to determine a candidate's breadth of word knowledge, which can be advantageous in various roles, such as copywriting, translation, or teaching English as a second language.

Business English: Business English refers to the language and communication skills used in professional or business settings. Strong business English skills are crucial for conducting meetings, giving presentations, writing emails, and negotiating contracts. Including a Business English component in this test enables recruiters to evaluate a candidate's ability to effectively communicate in a professional environment, which is essential for many job roles across industries.

Can I see a sample test, or do you have a free trial?

Yes!

The free trial includes one sample technical test (Java/ JavaScript) and one sample aptitude test that you will find in your dashboard when you sign up. You can use it to review the quality of questions and the candidate experience of giving a test on Adaface.

How do I interpret test scores?

The primary thing to keep in mind is that an assessment is an elimination tool, not a selection tool. A skills assessment is optimized to help you eliminate candidates who are not technically qualified for the role, it is not optimized to help you find the best candidate for the role. So the ideal way to use an assessment is to decide a threshold score (typically 55%, we help you benchmark) and invite all candidates who score above the threshold for the next rounds of interview.

I'm a candidate. Can I try a practice test?

No. Unfortunately, we do not support practice tests at the moment. However, you can use our sample questions for practice.
