Test Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Test Analyst to join our quality assurance team. The Test Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing tests to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products. This role involves closely collaborating with developers to identify and resolve defects, improve performance, and ensure that our software meets all requirements and standards.

A Test Analyst plays a vital role in the software development process. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that software applications perform as expected and that any bugs or issues are identified and resolved before the product is deployed. This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and attention to detail.

The Test Analyst typically reports to the QA Manager or Head of Quality Assurance.

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure software quality.
• Identify and document defects and inconsistencies in software functionality, usability, and performance.
• Collaborate with software developers and project support teams.
• Validate and document completion of testing and development.
• Use testing tools and methodologies to enhance testing processes.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve software development processes.
• Ensure that all tested related work meets company guidelines and standards.
• Prepare reports on testing phases and defects.

• Proven experience as a Test Analyst or similar role in software testing.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
