Screen candidates with the highest quality questions

We have a very high focus on the quality of questions that test for on-the-job skills. Every question is non-googleable and we have a very high bar for the level of subject matter experts we onboard to create these questions. We have crawlers to check if any of the questions are leaked online. If/ when a question gets leaked, we get an alert. We change the question for you & let you know.

How we design questions

These are just a small sample from our library of 15,000+ questions. The actual questions on this Angular Online Test will be non-googleable.

A: The 'marker' parameter of the @Input('marker') declaration does not alter the interface of the component.
B: Component, Input and Output are all required imports for this component.
C: Both marker and ink inputs must be provided when including the MarkerInk component in a template.
D: When included in a components template, the MarkerInk component creates a span containing the interpolated marker's name and a button bound to writeInk().
E: The MarkerInk component can be included in another template using the <MarkerInk> tag.

Pick the correct statements:

A: Service X is registered with specific ngComponent. Any new instance of that component will have new instance of Service X.
B: Single, shared instance of Service X is created and is injected into any class that asks for it.
C: A new instance of Service Y is created and injected into any component that asks for it in SampleModule.
D: Service Y is registered with specific ngModule and the same instance of Service Y is available to all components of SampleModule instead of creating one for every component in the SampleModule.
E: A new instance of Service Z is created and injected into any class that asks for it.
F: Angular creates a single, shared instance of Service Z and injects that into any class that asks for it.

Registration Queue

Solve
We want to register students for the next semester. All students have a receipt which shows the amount pending for the previous semester. A positive amount (or zero) represents that the student has paid extra fees, and a negative amount represents that they have pending fees to be paid. The students are in a queue for the registration. We want to arrange the students in a way such that the students who have a positive amount on the receipt get registered first as compared to the students who have a negative amount. We are given a queue in the form of an array containing the pending amount.
For example, if the initial queue is [20, 70, -40, 30, -10], then the final queue will be [20, 70, 30, -40, -10]. Note that the sequence of students should not be changed while arranging them unless required to meet the condition.
⚠️⚠️⚠️ Note:
- The first line of the input is the length of the array. The second line contains all the elements of the array.
- The input is already parsed into an array of "strings" and passed to a function. You will need to convert string to integer/number type inside the function.
- You need to "print" the final result (not return it) to pass the test cases.

For the example discussed above, the input will be:
5
20 70 -40 30 -10

Your code needs to print the following to the standard output:
20 70 30 -40 -10

Visitors Count
Strings
Logic
Solve
A manager hires a staff member to keep a record of the number of men, women, and children visiting the museum daily. The staff will note W if any women visit, M for men, and C for children. You need to write code that takes the string that represents the visits and prints the count of men, woman and children. The sequencing should be in decreasing order.
Example:

Input:
WWMMWWCCC

Expected Output:
4W3C2M

Explanation:
‘W’ has the highest count, then ‘C’, then ‘M’.
⚠️⚠️⚠️ Note:
- The input is already parsed and passed to a function.
- You need to "print" the final result (not return it) to pass the test cases.
- If the input is- “MMW”, then the expected output is "2M1W" since there is no ‘C’.
- If any of them have the same count, the output should follow this order - M, W, C.

Test candidates on core Angular Hiring Test topics

Fundamentals of JavaScript and HTML/ CSS: Understanding the basics of JavaScript and HTML/CSS is crucial for building dynamic and interactive web applications. This skill covers the core concepts needed to manipulate and control the structure, behavior, and presentation of web pages.

Fundamentals of Angular (Components; Pipes; Directives): Angular is a powerful JavaScript framework that allows for building scalable and modular web applications. This skill focuses on understanding the key building blocks of Angular, including components, pipes, and directives, which enable the creation of reusable and maintainable code.

Core Angular modules: Core Angular modules provide the foundation for building Angular applications. This skill includes knowledge of key modules such as FormsModule, ReactiveFormsModule, HttpClientModule, and RouterModule, which enable the implementation of essential functionalities in Angular applications.

Routing and navigation: Routing and navigation are vital aspects of modern web development. This skill covers the ability to manage multiple views, handle user interactions, and navigate between different components within an Angular application effectively.

Data binding and event handling: Data binding and event handling are core features of Angular that facilitate communication between the components and the view. This skill measures the understanding of various data binding techniques and the ability to handle user interactions through event handling mechanisms.

Connecting to backend databases and APIs: Integration with backend databases and APIs is a crucial skill for building real-world Angular applications. This skill entails understanding how to establish connections, retrieve data, and perform CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations using Angular's built-in HTTP client.

Reactive extensions and observables: Reactive extensions and observables enhance the asynchronous programming capabilities of Angular. This skill involves understanding how to use observables to handle streams of data and leverage reactive programming concepts to build more efficient and responsive applications.

Performance improvements with lazy loading: Lazy loading is a technique used to improve the performance of Angular applications by only loading modules or components when they are actually required. This skill assesses the ability to implement lazy loading strategies to optimize the loading time and resource consumption of an application.

Dependency injection: Dependency injection is a design pattern employed in Angular to manage the dependencies between different components and services. This skill measures the understanding of how dependency injection works and its importance in creating loosely coupled and highly maintainable code.

Have questions about the Angular Hiring Test?

How does pricing work?

You can check out our pricing plans.

Can I customize the test?

Yes, absolutely. Custom assessments are set up within 48 hours based on your job description, and will include questions on all must-have skills you specify. Here's a quick guide on how you can request a custom test. You can also customize a test by uploading your own questions.

Can I combine multiple skills into one test?

Yes, absolutely. Custom assessments are set up based on your job description, and will include questions on all must-have skills you specify. Here's a quick guide on how you can request a custom test.

What roles can I use the Angular Test for?

Here are few roles for which we recommend this test:

  • Angular Developer
  • Intermediate Angular Developer
  • Web Developer
  • UI Developer - Angular
  • Frontend Developer - Angular
  • Senior Frontend Engineer - Angular
  • Full Stack Developer (Angular)
Can I see a sample test, or do you have a free trial?

Yes!

The free trial includes one sample technical test (Java/ JavaScript) and one sample aptitude test that you will find in your dashboard when you sign up. You can use it to review the quality of questions and the candidate experience of giving a test on Adaface.

You can preview any of the 500+ tests and see the sample questions to decide if it would be a good fit for your requirements.

How do I interpret test scores?

The primary thing to keep in mind is that an assessment is an elimination tool, not a selection tool. A skills assessment is optimized to help you eliminate candidates who are not technically qualified for the role, it is not optimized to help you find the best candidate for the role. So the ideal way to use an assessment is to decide a threshold score (typically 55%, we help you benchmark) and invite all candidates who score above the threshold for the next rounds of interview.

I'm a candidate. Can I try a practice test?

No. Unfortunately, we do not support practice tests at the moment. However, you can use our sample questions for practice.
