The primary thing to keep in mind is that an assessment is an elimination tool, not a selection tool. As in an assessment is optimizing to help you eliminate candidates who are not technically qualified for the role, it is not optimized to help you find the best candidate for the role. So the ideal way to use an assessment is to decide a threshold score (typically 60%, we help you benchmark) and invite all candidates who score above the threshold for the next rounds of interview.

The score distribution for our assessments follow the normal curve. This is a good sign- standardized tests like SAT and GRE follow the normal distribution (bell curve).
Status quo assessments typically have the exact opposite of the bell curve (too many candidates getting close to 0, too many candidates getting close to 100 and too few candidates in the middle). In Java, Strings are immutable and are stored in the String pool. What this means is that, once a String is created, it stays in the pool in memory until being garbage collected. Therefore, even after you’re done processing the string value (e.g., the password), it remains available in memory for an indeterminate period of time thereafter (again, until being garbage collected) which you have no real control over. Therefore, anyone having access to a memory dump can potentially extract the sensitive data and exploit it.
In contrast, if you use a mutable object like a character array, for example, to store the value, you can set it to blank once you are done with it with confidence that it will no longer be retained in memory.
If you put the same key again then it will replace the old mapping because HashMap doesn't allow duplicate keys. The Same key will result in the same hashcode and will end up at the same position in the bucket.
When a Thread calls wait() on any Object, it must have the monitor on the Object that it will leave and goes in wait state until any other thread call notify() on this Object. Similarly when a thread calls notify() on any Object, it leaves the monitor on the Object and other waiting threads can get the monitor on the Object. Since all these methods require Thread to have the Object monitor, that can be achieved only by synchronization, they need to be called from synchronized method or block.

Well, nothing is wrong, depending on how you use it. For example, if you initialize the HashMap just by one thread and then all threads are only reading from it, then it’s perfectly fine. One example of this is a Map which contains configuration properties. The real problem starts when at-least one of that thread is updating HashMap i.e. adding, changing or removing any key value pair. Since put() operation can cause re-sizing and which can further lead to infinite loop, that’s why either you should use Hashtable or ConcurrentHashMap, later is better.
The key difference between is that inner classes have full access to the fields and methods of the enclosing class. This can be convenient for event handlers, but comes at a cost: every instance of an inner class retains and requires a reference to its enclosing class.
With this cost in mind, there are many situations where we should prefer static nested classes. When instances of the nested class will outlive instances of the enclosing class, the nested class should be static to prevent memory leaks.
Inner classes are also harder to construct via reflection due to their “hidden” reference to the enclosing class, and this reference can get sucked in during reflection-based serialization, which is probably not intended. Yes, we can use an empty catch block but it’s not a right way of programming. When we use an empty catch block and if it catches any exception then we will have no information about that exception and it will be a nightmare of the situation to debug it. There should be a log statement file for logging all the exception details.
Sometimes, object creation is heavyweight and requires a lot of resources, creating a new instance will impact the performance. In such cases, a prototype design pattern is used which refers to creating duplicate objects. In the prototype design pattern, if a similar object is already present then cloning is done keeping performance in mind.
A reachable object can’t garbage collected. Solely unreachable objects may garbage collected.
When transactions taking place and there is some that a row is updated at the same time some query can read the updated value. This dirty read happens because that the updated value is not permanent yet, the transaction that has been updated could rollback to a previous value which will result in invalid data.
You can avoid deadlock by breaking the circular wait condition. In order to do that, you can make an arrangement in the code to impose the ordering on acquisition and release of locks.
