We want to register students for the next semester. All students have a receipt which shows the amount pending for the previous semester. A positive amount (or zero) represents that the student has paid extra fees, and a negative amount represents that they have pending fees to be paid. The students are in a queue for the registration. We want to arrange the students in a way such that the students who have a positive amount on the receipt get registered first as compared to the students who have a negative amount. We are given a queue in the form of an array containing the pending amount.
For example, if the initial queue is [20, 70, -40, 30, -10], then the final queue will be [20, 70, 30, -40, -10]. Note that the sequence of students should not be changed while arranging them unless required to meet the condition.
⚠️⚠️⚠️ Note:
- The first line of the input is the length of the array. The second line contains all the elements of the array.
- The input is already parsed into an array of "strings" and passed to a function. You will need to convert string to integer/number type inside the function.
- You need to "print" the final result (not return it) to pass the test cases.

For the example discussed above, the input will be:
5
20 70 -40 30 -10

Your code needs to print the following to the standard output:
20 70 30 -40 -10

Logic
Solve
A manager hires a staff member to keep a record of the number of men, women, and children visiting the museum daily. The staff will note W if any women visit, M for men, and C for children. You need to write code that takes the string that represents the visits and prints the count of men, woman and children. The sequencing should be in decreasing order.
Example:

Input:
WWMMWWCCC

Expected Output:
4W3C2M

Explanation:
‘W’ has the highest count, then ‘C’, then ‘M’.
⚠️⚠️⚠️ Note:
- The input is already parsed and passed to a function.
- You need to "print" the final result (not return it) to pass the test cases.
- If the input is- “MMW”, then the expected output is "2M1W" since there is no ‘C’.
- If any of them have the same count, the output should follow this order - M, W, C.

Core HTML tags: This skill refers to the knowledge of fundamental HTML tags and their usage, such as
<div>
,
<p>
,
<h1>
, etc. It is important to measure this skill as it forms the building blocks of a web page and demonstrates the ability to structure and organize content.

Handling HTML forms: This skill involves working with HTML form elements like
<input>
,
<select>
,
<textarea>
, etc., and understanding how they are used to collect user input. It is crucial to assess this skill as forms are an essential part of many web applications, enabling users to submit data and interact with the website.

Core CSS (box model; inheritance; specificity): This skill encompasses the understanding of the CSS box model, which defines how elements are rendered on a web page, as well as concepts like inheritance and specificity that affect how styles are applied. It is necessary to evaluate this skill as CSS is one of the core technologies used for styling web pages and controlling layout.

Styling HTML elements with CSS: This skill involves applying CSS styles to HTML elements using selectors, properties, and values. By measuring this skill, recruiters can assess an individual's ability to create visually appealing and consistent designs, as well as customize the appearance of different elements on a web page.

Flexbox and Grids for modern layouts: This skill focuses on the use of CSS flexbox and grid to create flexible and responsive layouts. It is important to evaluate this skill as these modern layout techniques provide powerful tools for designing web pages that adapt to different screen sizes and devices.

Responsive websites using media queries: This skill entails using media queries to make websites responsive, adapting their layout and styling based on different screen sizes and devices. By measuring this skill, recruiters can assess a candidate's ability to create websites that provide a consistent user experience across various devices and screen resolutions.

Working with images: This skill involves understanding how to work with images in web development, including tasks such as adding images to a webpage, optimizing them for performance, and implementing image galleries. Assessing this skill is valuable as images are an integral part of modern websites and being proficient in working with them demonstrates a well-rounded skill set.

Integrating custom fonts: This skill encompasses the ability to integrate and style custom fonts in a web page using CSS. It is necessary to measure this skill as custom fonts can enhance the visual appeal and branding of a website, while also providing better control over typography and design.

CSS-based animations: This skill involves creating animations and transitions using CSS properties and keyframes. By assessing this skill, recruiters can evaluate an individual's ability to add dynamic and interactive elements to a web page, enhancing the user experience and making the website more engaging.

Yes, absolutely. Custom assessments are set up based on your job description, and will include questions on all must-have skills you specify. Here's a quick guide on how you can request a custom test.

What roles can I use the HTML/ CSS Test for?

Here are few roles for which we recommend this test:

 • Web Developer
 • Frontend Software Developer
 • Senior HTML Web Developer
 • Front-end Developer
 • Software Engineer (HTML/ CSS)

Yes!

The free trial includes one sample technical test (Java/ JavaScript) and one sample aptitude test that you will find in your dashboard when you sign up. You can use it to review the quality of questions and the candidate experience of giving a test on Adaface.

How do I interpret test scores?

The primary thing to keep in mind is that an assessment is an elimination tool, not a selection tool. A skills assessment is optimized to help you eliminate candidates who are not technically qualified for the role, it is not optimized to help you find the best candidate for the role. So the ideal way to use an assessment is to decide a threshold score (typically 55%, we help you benchmark) and invite all candidates who score above the threshold for the next rounds of interview.

I'm a candidate. Can I try a practice test?

No. Unfortunately, we do not support practice tests at the moment. However, you can use our sample questions for practice.
