SAP ABAP Developer Job Description

As an SAP ABAP Developer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and enhancement of ABAP programs in our projects. You will also be required to provide ABAP programming support to other application teams.

SAP ABAP Developer is a technical lead in the area of SAP Applications. They work on all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC), from concept and design to testing, deployment and maintenance. They participate in the full software development process, including requirements gathering, functional specifications, coding, testing and documentation. In addition, they work closely with business analysts and other technical leads to ensure that the final product meets the needs of the business.

• Participate in the full software development life cycle, from concept and design to testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Gather requirements from business users and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, code, test and document new features and functionality in SAP applications.
• Participate in peer reviews of code and design.
• Support the business during the rollout and implementation of new features and functionality.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
• In-depth knowledge of the SAP ABAP programming language.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, ABAP Objects and ABAP Workbench.
• Experience with other SAP technologies, such as Business Objects
