The Challenge: Automating Assessments to Identify Quality Candidates

Hanu Software is a US based Microsoft preferred cloud partner that provides software development and business process outsourcing services. Hanu supports enterprises with unequalled intelligence and expertise providing Managed Transformation, Application Modernization and Enterprise IT Innovation.

With the Covid-19 pandemic, Hanu's customers in the healthcare/ pharmaceutical space saw their business growing, leading to a huge influx on the requirements. To fulfill these requirements, Hanu needed to close 110 fresher positions in a record time of 45 days.

Previously, Hanu relied on technical experts (Hanu employees) and other assessment tools to screen and interview candidates. But given the scale of the requirement, that simply wasn't possible. The team was looking for a better way to speed up the screening process to be able to evaluate more candidates without compromising on the quality of hires.

Hanu wanted to make sure that with the new recruiting process:

  • There should be minimal manual intervention required
  • The assessment should comprise of a technical assessment + psychometric evaluation
  • The scores from the assessment should be trustworthy

The Solution: Adaface's conversational assessments

Adaface set up customized assessments for each campus to make sure students across campuses couldn't share questions. Each assessment had questions on technical questions to test technical ability, aptitude based questions to test for smarts, a coding test to check coding skills and a psychometric evaluation. This made sure that candidates needed to give only 1 integrated test, while giving the recruitment team a 360 degree profile of each candidate.
